On August 1, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Amnat Jarerat, Assistant to the President for the Kanchanaburi Campus, cordially welcomed Asst. Prof. Dr. Kittipong Chaisiri from the Department of Helminthology, Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University and Head of the research project “Ecological study identifying potential factors favoring pathogen spill-over in wild murine rodent reservoirs at natural and human-dominated habitats.”

The visit was part of a study tour and field parasitology research activity conducted at Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus from July 29 – August 2, 2025. This field visit was also part of “The 5th Thai-Taiwanese Young Parasitologist Camp 2025,” with a study delegation from National Chiayi University (NCYU), Taiwan, led by Prof. Hsuan-Wien Chen. Dr. Supatra Chunchob, a Lecturer from the Department of Conservation Biology, and Mr. Suphat Prasopsin, a scientist (senior professional level) from the Division of Science Laboratory for Education, also joined the research team in this field activity. The meeting was also focused on the potential MoU between the Faculty of Life Sciences of NCYU and Kanchanaburi Campus.
