Course, Science and technology of economic crops production (KAAG 215), focuses on providing student with knowledge in the field of classification of economic crops, botanical characteristics, plantation, cultivation, harvest, pest management, utilization, marketing, the basic farming system, teamwork and punctuality. In addition, the course aims to create understanding and develop an entrepreneurial mindset among students by assigning them to form groups and simulate entrepreneurship. This includes tasks such as selecting plant types for cultivation by surveying market demands, creating a business model canvas (BMC), designing marketing strategies, calculating revenues and expenses, and finally analyzing whether the group’s business is profitable, worth investing in, as well as skill in need of improvement.
