The Environmental Engineering and Disaster Management Department welcomes faculty members and 4th-year students from Srisavarindhira Thai Red Cross Institute of Nursing

On August 14, 2024, Dr. Wimonmas Boonyungyuen, Head of the Environmental Engineering and Disaster Management Department, along with Lecturer Khotchakorn Krutphong and 3rd-year students from the Environmental Engineering and Disaster Management program at Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus, welcomed faculty members and 4th-year students from Srisavarindhira Thai Red Cross Institute of Nursing. They participated in activities that involved studying and engaging with the community and government agencies in Sai Yok District, such as Sai Yok Hospital, Lumsum Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Nong Khon Village, Lum Phueng Village, and Lum Sum Village. This activity is a part of the courses ENVR 345: Disaster and Environmental Risk Assessment and the Institute’s course 1094224: Disaster Nursing Practice. The program is organizing from August 14-15 and August 21-22, 2024, marking the first cohort. The objective was to foster interdisciplinary learning, apply academic knowledge to address community needs, enhance quality of life, and strengthen collaboration between educational institutions. Additionally, the team interviewed community members to create a disaster risk map.
