Health and Well-being Support Service 

While living in MUKA, students can avail of health care services by applying for the University Health Insurance plan to the National Health Security Office. Students whose parents are currently working for Thai government sectors or enterprises can receive reimbursement from the parents’ workplaces until the age of 20.

Students can avail health and dental services at Saiyok District Hospital. Prior to receiving the services, students must promptly present their national ID card and student ID card. Students are entitled to consultation on minor health problems at the MUKA Health Center, which is located at the student dormitory, Tel: 086-377-9948, 24 hours from Monday to Friday.  In case of emergencies, students can access help by calling 1669 or 086-377-9948.

Student Orientation 

Once you arrive on MUKA campus, we will arrange the second-year student orientation for you.  Academic staff, supporting staff, policeman, and nurse from Saiyok hospital give guidance on how to manage your student-life balance, how to cope with physical and mental health, and how to stay in MUKA campus and Kanchanaburi province safelyMoreover, our student clubs and societies can also share their experiences in MUKA campus and give you inside information.  

One-stop Service 

When you move into your accommodation, our one-stop service team will help you settle in and guide you.  If you need to talk to someone, whether it is about your student-life balance and accommodation, you can ask our team based in one-stop service office to support you.  Our one-stop service office operates 7 days a week until 8 pm on weekday and 5 pm on weekend.  However, in the case of emergency, our staff is on call for 24 hours. 

How we support your physical health? 

It is very important to ensure that you could access the support when you need it.  Professional nurse is, therefore, standby for health service at the nursing room until 8pm on weekdays and 5pm on weekends.   

In addition, our ambulance is standby for transporting patient to Saiyok hospital within 10 minutes after the emergency case is confirmed.     

How we support your mental health? 

If you are facing a mental health crisis and you need to talk to someone immediately.  Our university also provides internal and external service for you to cope with this problem.  Our internal service is 24-hour MU hotline” and “Mahidol Friend” service for you (Only for Mahidol students).  Please follow the steps in this link, if you are experiencing a mental health incident.  Furthermore, this link provides information about how to initially identify yourself whether you are risk to depression symptom using PHQ-9 checklists and how to treat yourself when you face this problem such as stress management, music therapy, napping, and self-compassion.   

For external service, our university also collaborates with “OOCA Wall of Sharing” which is a platform that you can consult to professional psychiatrist personally and confidentially via VDO call.  This service is 24-hour operation.
