In digital era, only normal presentation skill; such as Power Point presentation, is no longer sufficient for demonstrating user experience. Mahidol university also encourages MU students to improve their 5 main skills; including health literacy, internationalization, digital literacy, environmental literacy, and financial literacy. These skills are known as HIDEF.
Digital learning experience space is developed for practically supporting digital skill for staffs and students. This space includes full studio, mini studio, 3D Printer, 3D Scanner, and AR/VR/MR/ Web VR.
Full studio is well equipped with cameras, switcher, background, light control, microphone, mixer, software, streaming and graphic design, and other accessories. Staffs and students, who want to use these full-scale facilities, are trained how to use these equipment properly. They also have experience to set up studio for broadcasting.
Mini studio is equipped with small-scale studio facilities. Staffs or students, who want to make broadcasting without sophisticated setup, can use these facilities.
3D Printers equipped with different operating sizes and printed by different colors of polymer filaments are provided. 3D model could be developed by 3D design program or 3D scanner objects. Once 3D model is designed, developed prototype could be printed to confirm this model. Staffs and students who want to use this equipment need to be trained. 3D Scanner could be used to scan 3D real objects in order to develop 3D model. Please consult and arrange meeting with our staff for equipment training in advance.
AR/VR/MR/Web VR is also provided at the corner of the digital learning experience space. We provide all-in one VR headset facilities; such as VR oculus quest and accessories, programs, computer, monitors, and others. Once students or staffs established AR/VR/MR/Web VR prototype, they can use these facilities to demonstrate their prototype. In the case that you eager to develop AR/VR/MR/Web VR project but do not know how to initiate your project. Please consult and arrange meeting with our staff for training in advance.
Once you develop prototype of Machine learning and you want to test run of your prototype. We also have server facilities with 32Gb GPU for script user to proceed your test-run data within 130 TFLOPS. Once your prototype is confirmed and you want to develop your prototype in larger scale. You can use central MU facilities supporting for ML/AI research projects.
IoT is also important to create or develop new equipment connecting with sensors as well as record analog or digital data for processing or analysis. Our staffs have many experiences to use sensors connecting with Arduino and Raspberry Pi. Please consult and arrange meeting with our staff for training in advance.
