1995
The Cabinet resolved to expand higher education opportunities to the provinces in accordance with the 8th Higher Education Development Plan and approved the establishment of the “Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Establishment Project” on June 20, 1995.
1998
On Saturday, April 18, 1998, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn was given royal permission by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej to lay the foundation stone of Mahidol University in Kanchanaburi.
2001
Established and offered admission to undergraduate students under the College of Management and two programs, including the Management Program and Accountancy Program.
2002
Three programs have been established and are offered to undergraduate students under the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, including a Bachelor of Science Program in Food Technology, a Bachelor of Science Program in Agricultural Science, and a Bachelor of Science Program in Environmental Science (Conservation Biology).
2004
Establishment the Bachelor of Science (Geoscience).
2009
With the approval of the Mahidol University Council, the prestige equivalent to faculty has been changed from “Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus Establishment Project” to “Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus” and the responsible for the curriculum has been changed to the Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus.
2012
Starting in the 1st semester of 2012, the undergraduate course name changed from Graduate Management Program to “Bachelor of Business Administration Program, Division of Management,” starting to offer students in the 1st semester of 2012.
2014
Establishment of 2 new programs, Bachelor of Engineering (Environmental Engineering and Disaster Management) and Bachelor of Accountancy.
2018
- The Basement of the Statue of Prince Mahidol Enshrinement Ceremony was settled by Professor Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, who presided over the event on June 29, 2018.
- Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening ceremony of the monument of Prince Mahidol at the Royal Monument Square, Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus on August 9, 2018.
- Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening of the 12th International Earth Science and Space Olympiad in Thailand 2018 (IESO 2018: 12th International Earth Science Olympiad, Kanchanaburi, Thailand) on August 9, 2018, in collaboration with Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus, The Promotion of Academic Olympiad and Development of Science Education Foundation under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra (POSN), National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT), Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education.
- The Bachelor of Business Administration was renamed in the first semester of 2018, and applicants began enrolling in the second semester.

2021
Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the opening ceremony of “The 1st National Earth Science Olympiad (1st TESO)” on June 26, 2021, which was held for the first time in Thailand by Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus in collaboration with the Promotion of Academic Olympiad and Development of Science Education Foundation under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra (POSN) through an online platform, broadcasting directly from HRH’s Private Library, Sa Pathum Palace, to Pailin Phu Than Meeting Room, Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus.
