Conservation Biology Student Represents Thailand at Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race 2025 in Malaysia
The Conservation Biology Program at Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus, proudly congratulates Mr. Muangpai Suetrong, a second-year undergraduate student, for his outstanding representation of Thailand at the Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race 2025, held from 21 to 22 June 2025 in Fraser’s Hill, Malaysia.
Mr. Muangpai Suetrong was selected by the Bird Conservation Society of Thailand (BCST) to participate in this renowned international birdwatching event. Competing as part of the “Super Boy Wonder Girl” team, he joined 58 teams from across the globe in a 23-hour race that tested participants’ bird identification and observation skills in the biodiverse habitats of Fraser’s Hill.
The team earned 7th place overall, receiving the following awards:
– Official Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race T-shirts
– Medals of participation
– A cash prize of 300 Malaysian Ringgit (RM) per team
– Certificates of participation
This international experience highlights the academic and practical strengths of our students, showcasing their abilities in real-world conservation activities and promoting cross-cultural exchange in environmental education.
