Program objectives

The objective of the curriculum

To produce quality graduates capable of practicing in the geological field according to the needs of employers and possessing desired attributes following Mahidol University’s (MU Attributes) standards, which are categorized into four aspects: having academic and professional knowledge and abilities both theoretically and practically, in breadth and depth, being able to think, analyze, and synthesize systematically to solve problems considering their impact on society and the environment.

Program Objectives

  1. Take responsibility for oneself and society under professional ethics in geological professions, recognizing the importance of contributing to the common good.
  2. Acquire fundamental scientific knowledge and geological expertise to apply in solving geological problems.
  3. Utilize tools and equipment for geological work, surveys, and map-making accurately according to international standards.
  4. Collaborate with others both within the profession and with the general public to achieve assigned work objectives.
  5. Communicate geological knowledge using appropriate and accurate language tailored to the target audience.
  6. Use information technology and computer programs appropriately in geological work or related tasks.
