นักธรณีวิทยา นักธรณีวิทยาปฏิบัติการ นักธรณีฟิสิกส์ นักธรณีวิทยาสิ่งแวดล้อม และอุตุนิยมวิทยาในหน่วยงานรัฐบาลและรัฐวิสาหกิจต่างๆ เช่น กรมทรัพยากรธรณี กรมอุตสาหกรรมพื้นฐานและการเหมืองแร่ กรมเชื้อเพลิงธรรมชาติ กรมทรัพยากรน้ำบาดาล กรมอุตุนิยมวิทยา กรมพัฒนาที่ดิน กรมชลประทาน ศูนย์เตือนภัยพิบัติ สำนักนโยบายและแผนสิ่งแวดล้อม การไฟฟ้าฝ่ายผลิตแห่งประเทศไทย เป็นต้น นอกจากนี้ยังประกอบอาชีพนักธรณีวิทยา นักธรณีฟิสิกส์ และอื่นๆ ในด้านธรณี ในหน่วยงานเอกชนทั้งบริษัทและเหมืองแร่ต่างๆ ตลอดจนสามารถศึกษาต่อในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา
