For 1st-Year Student

Mahidol University organize orientation for new 1st-year students every year. We offer the online or onsite orientation organized by the Student Affairs Division at Mahidol University. This is to provide essential information for new students of Mahidol University; such as how to become a global citizen, how to prepare your living for a new university environment, and what benefits we provide for students. This information has been conducted by President of Mahidol University, Vice President for Student Affairs and Alumni Relations, Vice President for Education, and Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communications. Typical examples of orientation include a video presenting the story of the new student path, a global citizenship experience offering for students, and love songs accompanying with the light show of the Newron sculpture lantern. The orientation is organized using Thai, English, and sign language to cover all groups of students. Moreover, students can check-in the “We Mahidol App” to collect token of activity transcript. In 2021, we also got a special lecture on “World Citizenship” by Dr. Chonlathit Theeradhiti, Executive Director of ASEAN University Network (AUN), presenting activities and services of various departments within the university.

PLUS CAMP

“Plus Camp” is an informal orientation for becoming 1st – year students mainly organized by students and alumni. This activity will take place about 4-5 days and welcome freshy 1st year students to 2nd -year students at Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus. 3rd and 4th – year students together with alumni will share experience about their living in the campus and in Kanchanaburi province. New students will be encouraged to build relationship with new friends from future classmates and from different programs. Essential skills will be engaged to the students via many joyful activities. Thanks to MUKA students’ association and alumni for setting up these activities! The camp will also strengthen the connection among students, alumni, and academic and supporting staffs.

For 2nd -Year Student

Once you become 2nd-year students and move to Mahidol University Kanchanaburi Campus, we organize a formal orientation again at the campus. This also provides essential information that you need to know when you study at the campus and live in Kanchanaburi province. Our staffs will introduce to you about how to cope with problems relating to learning in the program, physical and mental health and well-being, and other services provided by the campus. Facilities and learning to enhance student competence especially relating to HIDEF activities and fulfill well-being lifestyle of the students will be discussed. In addition, staffs from public sectors; such as policeman, doctor or nurse from Saiyok hospital, will provide fruitful information for students to be safe and secure when students have to stay in Kanchanaburi province.
