On July 12, 2024, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thatchavee Leelawat, Acting Vice President of the Kanchanaburi Campus, welcomed and thanked Mr. Awirut Sirimongkolkitti, Senior Vice President Geosciences, Reservoir Engineering, and Corporate Technical Division, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), along with the management team and staff. The event was also attended by executives from petroleum exploration and production service companies, including Schlumberger Overseas S.A. (SLB), Dell Corporation (Thailand) Ltd., and Yip In Tsoi Ltd.

PTTEP recognizes the importance of promoting education and enhancing learning capabilities in geosciences and petroleum engineering. As part of this commitment, they initiated the “Subsurface Data for U” project, which provides comprehensive geological data from petroleum exploration and production. Additionally, supporting companies in the petroleum exploration and production business, including Schlumberger Overseas S.A. (SLB), Dell Corporation (Thailand) Ltd., and Yip In Tsoi Ltd., contributed by donating fully functional computers, software, hardware, and hard drives to the Kanchanaburi Campus. The objective is to increase opportunities for students and university personnel to benefit from the project and to strengthen geosciences and petroleum engineering capabilities. The handover ceremony took place at the Lecture Hall, Kanchanaburi Campus.
