International Academic Presentation at the UNESCO Symposium on ‘Youth Dialogue on the Future along the Silk Roads’ in Paris, France
On June 5, 2025, Dr. Takon Wittayathanarattana, a lecturer in the Food Technology Program, had the honor of being selected as an international representative to present academic work at the UNESCO Symposium on ‘Youth Dialogue on the Future along the Silk Roads’.
Dr. Takon delivered a research presentation entitled “Spices-Alchemy: Decoding the Chemical Composition and Gastronomic Heritage of Silk Road Spices,” which is part of a project funded by the UNESCO Silk Road Youth Research Grant 2023. The project aims to promote education and the exchange of knowledge in culture, science, and cuisine across countries along the historic Silk Roads.
This event showcased the role of a young researcher from Thailand in contributing to global knowledge through the lens of food, culture, and science. The presentation took place at Meeting Room 11, UNESCO Headquarters, Paris, France.
