On January 9, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Thatchavee Leelawat, Vice President for Kanchanaburi Campus,Mahidol University, together with Dr. Prinya Putthapiban, Advisor to the Vice President for Kanchanaburi Campus,Mahidol University and Asst. Prof. Dr. Watcharra Chintakovid, Assistant to the Vice President for Kanchanaburi Campus in Education, participated in the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The collaboration involves Myeik University, West Yangon University, East Yangon University, and Bago University.

The rectors of the four universities in Myanmar signed the MoU as follows:

Prof. Dr. Than Zaw Oo, Rector of West Yangon University

Prof. Dr. Nay Win Oo, Rector of East Yangon University

Prof. Dr. Nay Thwe Kyi, Rector of Myeik University

Prof. Dr. Aye Aye Khine, Rector of Bago University

Additionally, Asst. Prof. Weerachon Sawangproh, a faculty member in the Department of Conservation Biology, and Dr. Apivut Veeravinantanakul, a faculty member in the Department of Geology, attended as witnesses to the ceremony held at MICC 2, Myanmar International Convention Center, in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

The signing of this MoU aims to foster collaboration in academics, research, education, and exchange activities to enhance the future potential of students.
