Welcoming Faculty Members and Students from Keio University, Japan, under the EBA-KRI Thailand Fieldwork 2026

On 15 January 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Amnat Jarerat, Assistant to the President for Kanchanaburi Campus, together with Dr. Wimonmas Boonyanyuen, Head of Environmental Engineering and Disaster Management Program, faculty members, and students from the Environmental Engineering and Disaster Management Program, warmly welcomed faculty members and students from Keio University, Japan. The delegation was led by Professor Fathima Assilmia and Mr. Leandro Navarro Hundzins, in collaboration with Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.
The visit was part of the EBA-KRI Thailand Fieldwork 2026 project, organized to explore potential fieldwork sites and prepare academic activities for the upcoming program. During the visit, the delegation participated in academic exchanges at the Geoscience Museum and toured the surrounding areas of Mahidol University, Kanchanaburi Campus, gaining insights into local geological and environmental contexts. International students also conducted on-site field studies and data collection activities in Kanchanaburi Province.
The EBA-KRI Thailand Fieldwork 2026 is a collaborative initiative between Keio University and leading universities across ASEAN region. In 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, serves as the host institution for the program, scheduled to take place from 11–17 June 2026 at Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, and in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand.
