Mahidol University sets out career advancement pathways for university staff to attain higher positions. These pathways are categorized into career advancement for academic staff and career advancement for support staff. The Kanchanaburi Campus promotes and supports university staff to innovate and continuously develop their capabilities to facilitate achieving higher positions and align with the university’s strategies, as detailed below:

Career Advancement for Academic Staff:

Academic positions for professors include Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor.

Criteria for applying for positions:

Assistant Professor position:

  • Must hold a Ph.D. degree and have served as an instructor for no less than 1 year or
  • Must hold a master’s degree and have served as an instructor for no less than 4 years.

Associate Professor position:

  • Must have served as an Assistant Professor for no less than 2 years.

Professor position:

  • Must have served as an Associate Professor for no less than 2 years.

Career advancement for support staff:

Academic positions include Senior Professional, Expert, and Senior Expert.

Criteria for applying for positions:

Senior Professional Level:

  • Must hold a Ph.D. degree and have served at the operational level for no less than 2 years or
  • Must hold a master’s degree and have served at the operational level for no less than 3 years or
  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree and have served at the operational level for no less than 5 years.

Expert Level:

  • Must have served as an Assistant Professor for no less than 3 years.

Senior Expert Level:

  • Must have served as an Associate Professor for no less than 2 years.
